Privacy policy
This policy explains how TacQ processes personal information in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
What we collect
Through the contact form we collect your name, company, email address, telephone number, enquiry type and the message you send. Through a job application we collect your full name, email address, telephone number, an optional LinkedIn URL and an optional message. We do not collect CV uploads through this website.
Why we collect it
Enquiry information is used to respond to you and to assess whether we can assist with your hiring or career requirement. Application information is used to assess your suitability against the role you applied for and, where relevant and with your agreement, against similar roles. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties other than the client organisation for the role you applied to, and then only with your knowledge.
Verification checks
Where a role requires it, we conduct qualification verification, credit (ITC) and criminal record checks through accredited providers such as MIE. These checks are only carried out with your written consent, obtained separately before the check is run.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for two years from the date of your last contact with us. Application records are retained for two years from the date of application, unless you ask us to remove them sooner or you ask us to keep them for longer so that we can consider you for future roles.
Security
Submissions are stored in an access controlled database. Only the information officer has access to enquiry and application records.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request to talent@tacq.co.za and we will action it within thirty days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
